Sections with different templates using.

You may have more templates on your internet site. For each section of your website you may have some other template. This is about the assigning of different templates to your Joomla internet site pages/sections.
At least three templates and three sections should be in your main menu to start. Naturally it should be as many sections as you need. The templates names will be First, Second and Third. The sections will be Home, Stories and Articles. It is a great option to have the same template with different scheme.
Login in to your Joomla administrator area. Go to Site — Template Manager — Site Templates. There is a list with your Joomla templates.

Let the First template be default. Push the radio button on the left of the First template. On the top click “Default”. This template will be the default template. When a user will enter your website will see the First template.

The Second template may allot to your Reports section. Push the radio button on the left of the Second template and click “Assign” from the top. There is an inventory of your sections. It is not your true sections, it is just a list with your menu choices. Make a choice from list Stories and click “Save”.
Now your “News” sections will show the second template.

The Third template may allot now to your Articles section. Push the radio button on the left of the Third template. Click “Assign” from the top. Choose from list Articles and click “Save”. Now your “Articles” sections will show the Third template.

Add to your menu “Links”. Choose the radio button on the left of the Second template and click “Assign”. Select “News” from the list. Press “ctrl” and click “Links”. Verify that “News” and “Links” are selected. Click “Save”. The second template will appear on both sections ( “News” and “Links” ) you’ll add as may template as you wish.

That’s all. Make a time of it!
