Drupal: How to Login Once You Have Turned Your Site Off-Line for Maintenance

I would like to tell you about logging in to the site that has been turned off. You may often need this for execution of technical works.

Solution:

Open one of these addresses in your web-browser:

  • example.com/?q=user (Clear URLs are disabled)
  • example.com/user (Clear URLs are enabled)

if you logged in as a user who doesn’t have permissions to administer site configuration, you will site preferences, you will act as this user until you clear web-browser’s cookies. Just delete cookies for the site and open one of the links above.
